Westbury Diagnostics, Inc is proud to announce that Dr. Lorrence H. Green will once again serve as a Course Director for the Fundamentals of the Bioscience Industry Program. The program is conducted at the State University of New York at Stony Brook and is targeted toward students at the graduate level and higher seeking to move into non-academic industry careers. Also targeted are life science professionals seeking to enhance their productivity and opportunity for success in the corporate environment.
Dr. Green will be presenting a series of lectures in the Business of Bioscience Module. Among the highlights will be his entertaining lecture based on real life experiences entitled, “Observations of an Entrepreneur”. This lecture describes ten observations that he has made in his career including his “Theory of Relativity”. Some of the lectures will also include guest speakers, such as John Hill, President of John A. Hill and Associates, and author of the book, “Tips and Tales from the Booth”.

Westbury Diagnostics, Inc is proud to announce that Dr. Lorrence Green, President of Westbury Diagnostics, Inc has agreed to join as a founding member of Pillar Rock USA Corp.s’ Board of Business and Scientific Advisors. The company produces the new product “Hangover Buster”. Pillar Rock USA was a finalist in the 2008 Happauge Industrial Association (HIA) Rookie of the Year Business Achievement award.

Westbury Diagnostics, Inc is proud to announce that the Practical Handbook of Microbiology, Second Edition was released on August 29, 2008. The book contains 47 chapters, and was written to provide basic knowledge and practical information about working with microorganisms, in a clear and concise form. Although of use to anyone interested in the subject matter, the book was intended to especially benefit two emerging groups of microbiologists: people trained as microbiologists that are highly specialized in working with one specific area of microbiology; and people that have been trained in other disciplines, and use microorganisms as simply another tool or “chemical reagent.
The Practical Handbook was published by CRC Press, who are renowned for their nearly 100 years of publishing books in life science, medicine, pharmaceutical science, food science, environmental science, forensic science, engineering, business, technology, mathematics, and statistics.
Dr. Lorrence H. Green, President Westbury Diagnostics, co-edited the book and also personally authored three of the chapters.
